It was a whirlwind trip and we were sad to leave
We decided to break up the trip with a drive into the Mt. Whitney Portal. We enjoyed burgers and excellent hand-cut fries while we watched hikers and climbers coming off the trail.
Can't beat the scenery
Kellen found some pumice at another stop. A stone that floats!
We saw three separate herds of elk as we drove through the Sierra
A lone bull bugles, challenging the leader of the herd
