Well...we had to go back up for the packs
Sunday afternoon, Kellen experienced his first strenuous hike when we took the climber's approach trail up to Tahquitz to retrieve our packs abandoned the day before. Climbing over 1500' in less than a mile makes for steep terrain. Kellen cruised it in good form and earned his first real backpack. We're planning a father-son overnight backpacking trip this summer.
